A Time for Gratitude and Giving

November is a time for reflection and gratitude with our team. It’s the time of year for coming together, giving to others, and giving thanks for all that we have.

We have much to be thankful for here. Not many people have the opportunity to make a positive impact on their local community while engaging their neighbors and doing fulfilling work. Spending our days advocating for renewable energy and educating people about their state’s community solar program are the reasons we are excited to come to work every day.

This amazing opportunity comes with an obligation to give back, and we take that responsibility seriously. Here are a few of the ways our commitments to our neighbors and communities shine through.

Our team puts customers first every day. Whether it’s our educational approach, helping them resolve issues with their electricity accounts, or answering questions after they join a solar farm, treating people the right way is our top priority.

Together, we can make a huge difference. Advocating for collective action, like people joining a local solar farm, means we are adding more locally produced renewable energy to the grid and generating economic growth in our communities.

From community fairs to farmers’ markets, local library engagements, school educational talks, music festivals, and more, we support local events and institutions in many ways.

Small, local non-profits do incredible work and fill important needs in their communities. But they often don’t have access to the funding of larger organizations. We are proud to make donations to fundraisers, environmental groups, and others doing important, meaningful work in their communities.

One of our favorite ways to give back is to volunteer our time as a team. Every Earth Day, we get out in the local communities to clean up a local public space. And every year around Thanksgiving, you’ll find members of our team donating time at a local food bank. When we reflect on all we have done and all that has been given to us this year, it makes us proud of our accomplishments and excited about our plans for next year.
